The Piedmont Angel Network’s (PAN) primary focus is to invest in the growth and the expansion of companies. This venture capital group has been working together to help others fulfill their potential for an ongoing of 14 years, predominantly in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

In order to properly invest, one must be self-aware in that, like most things, there are risks involved and a necessity in knowing the fundamental values of investing. This includes understanding how to use money that is being put into a business, stocks, mutual funds, bonds, or real estate, and how these aspects can have either positive or negative outcomes on a start-up. Understanding the aspects of investing is critical in launching a successful business, because the process is usually demanding, difficult and risky.

Provided, that is the reason there are investors such as PAN who provide their time, management, support, and money for businesses they believe can succeed. On June 1st, two of their representatives will be coming to HQ Greensboro to discuss how startups and entrepreneurs can become more investment and pitch ready.

Mark Rainosek, CEO of Prinnovo a local startup company, and Dalton Grein, Fund Executive of PAN, will be hosting an event open to the public as an introduction to angel investing and how businesses can become investor ready. PAN has invested in 23 companies since they started and are continuing to focus their efforts on local and regional emerging businesses. This event can help startup companies, entrepreneurs and newcomers to the startup world better prepare themselves to connect and work with investors. Rainosek and Grein will also periodically provide office hours at HQ Greensboro, where meetings can be held one on one.

Every business has the opportunity to grow if it has a chance and the proper backup. “PAN likes to invest in businesses that are addressing large, painful problems. These businesses do not have to be technology-based as long as the problems are sizeable,” according to PAN Website. This investing capital can be your support system and building block.
