We are proud to host local artists’ work throughout our space at 111 West Lewis.

Meet our newest artist in residence, Karen Archia! Karen (pictured right) is a Greensboro-based artist and the Creative Director/Founder of the Public Art Practice (PAP). They seek to liberate, encourage and affirm the creative spirit in all people. PAP offers free art sessions at Deep Roots Market, Greensboro’s only community co-op market.

Her work is highly regarded in our community. Karen’s larger display pieces, “Map of Authenticity” and “Tears of Joy” were made at one of those community sessions at Deep Roots. The pieces were then displayed at the Center for Visual Arts in Greensboro. She was also the featured artist for UNCG’s Art Truck on First Friday in April 2018!

Karen’s work is mostly done with Sumi ink, a Japanese calligraphy ink made of charcoal and water, acrylic paints and digitally through Procreate.

If you are interested in purchasing Karen’s art, you can contact her through email at [email protected] or Instagram. Make sure to visit HQ Greensboro and see her beautiful work in person!
