In business, Marketing is one of the many essential ingredients that entrepreneurs take advantage of when promoting their business. If done right, the results can be rewarding but if don’t wrong, it could cost you more than you think. Today I am going to give you some pros and cons of marketing. Let’s start with pros first.

If you deliver content that generates a positive emotional response from the masses, your results may be higher and more in your favour. People generally gravitate more towards things that they find inspiring or things that they can relate to.

  1. If done right, you could become a reliable source of information

According to, “If you continually create a message and material that moves people, you will make a formidable reputation for yourself as a thought and/or industry leader.” This quote is saying if you are consistent and credible with your message, then you will eventually gain a strong reputation for yourself within the business world.  Read more here.

  1. When it comes to social media marketing, the possibilities are endless.

Many businesses use social media to market their products because this market continues to grow demandingly every day and as a business owner with the right strategy, you could do little to nothing and your brand would still spread like wildfire. You never know who could share your page or click that follow button on your social media website but it’s all about how you deliver your marketing plan.

Now we move on to the cons of marketing.


  1. Its not easy.

Marketing itself is not an easy thing to do. You have to find the right niche, the right audience and etc… and this could take much time and a lot of money to do. It can also become frustrating as well because you may feel like you are not getting anywhere or that you will never find your niche or funnel.

  1. It can be timely and costly.

As stated in con number 1, it may cost you a lot of time and money to marketing correctly. You may have to invest in a digital marketing system or research things like SEO (Search Engine Optimization) and more which could cost you hours upon hours just to find what you are looking for.

  1. It may require constant monitoring

When it comes to social media marketing, public opinion and backlash are always things that you want to watch out for. A bad review is one of the last things you would want on your social media page because that could scare off current and future potential customers. You don’t want any potential negatives so make sure you do what you can to keep that from happening.
