Andy Zimmerman
Co-Founder
Andy Zimmerman doesn’t like job titles, but says he can go with Lifestyle Maintenance Technician if necessary. Through his 15-year old company, AZ Development, Andy works as a real estate developer, new product developer, and consultant for the outdoor industry. Previously, he was founder/owner of Legacy Paddlesports for seven years and Wilderness Systems for 15 years. Andy built and sold kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards. He holds four patents for outdoor products.
Andy has a passion for downtown rehab and has renovated buildings for The Forge (Greensboro’s Makerspace) and Gibbs Hundred Brewing. Soon, Preyer Brewing and Crafted Restaurant will occupy his building on Battleground Avenue. In addition, AZ Development is currently renovating the future HQ Greensboro space at 111 West Lewis Street.
April Harris
Co-Founder
April Harris is President of New City Ventures, an independent community development firm in Greensboro, North Carolina. New City Ventures specializes in public relations, project management, and community outreach. Previously, April was Executive Director of Action Greensboro, a nonprofit economic development organization in Greensboro. Prior to her position with Action Greensboro, she worked as Special Events Manager for the City of Greensboro and Vice President of Downtown Greensboro Inc.
April obtained a bachelor’s degree in political science and a master’s degree in Public Affairs from University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
Ryan Barry
Co-Founder
In 2014, Ryan Barry launched Greensboro, North Carolina based Winbador Solutions, LLC. Engagements have supported CEO’s, Executive Directors, and Strategy leads in the Healthcare, Technology, Economic Development, and Non-profit industries.
Ryan has a track record of solving complex problems and presenting findings in the form of usable-actionable information; experience developing solutions in cross-functional/multi-stakeholder/global contexts; proven ability to work within environments of ambiguity and transformation; and has successfully supported high-visibility initiatives throughout his career.
Ryan was educated at Appalachian State University, where he received a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration, and at University of North Carolina Chapel Hill where he received a Masters in Business Administration.
Ken Causey
Co-Founder
Ken Causey is a marketer, engineering consultant, entrepreneur, and motorcycle lover. He owns IM Werks, an 8-year old Internet marketing company. Ken is also involved in various startups ranging from health care to commercial real estate to timber.
Ken owns a motorcycle parts and repair company: Left for Dead Cycles.
